Mediapolis, Ia., March 7, 2021 – The Blue Jay men's soccer team traveled to Iowa to do battle with the Iowa Wesleyan University Tigers.  The last time the two teams met a couple weeks ago in Fulton it was an intense 2 OT draw that saw the Blue Jays really control the match.  This time around the Jays would allow a goal in the second minute of the game and then spent the next 88 minutes bringing the fight to the Tigers outshooting and out possessing the home team but failing to find the back of the net and falling 1-0 on cold rainy day in Iowa.

The Blue Jays outshot their hosts 20-5 including 9-2 in shots on goal.  The Jays even took 5 corners to 0 for the Tigers.  Patrick Wisnewski would lead the Blue Jays with five shots including two on goal. Sam Heckart also put two shots on goal along with Bukuru Dieudone who did the same.

Wisnewski had the Jays last good scoring chance in the 85th minute when his shot aimed at the bottom right portion of the goal was saved by the IWU keeper.  The loss drops the Jays to 5-2-1 overall and 4-2-1

The Blue Jays will now return home for a weekend match with the Eureka College Blue Jays.  The Match is scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Fulton.
