2/20/25 Fulton, MO - Westminster men's volleyball evened its record at 9-9 after a hard-fought five-set victory over Edgewood on the road. The Blue Jays overcame a slow start to claim the win by scores of 23-25, 15-25, 25-20, 25-23, and 15-13.

Leading the way was Lucas Brown, who delivered an efficient performance with 14 kills on a .448 hitting percentage while adding a service ace and two blocks. Derrick Turner led all players with 18 kills, four aces, and nine digs, proving to be a key factor in Westminster's comeback. Jake Schawo-McAlister controlled the offense with 43 assists and 16 digs while contributing defensively with three total blocks.

Aidan Ortmann stepped up with seven kills and a block, while Luke Rohrbach had five kills on a .571 hitting percentage, along with four blocks. Khalil Peterson added four kills and three digs in the win.

After dropping the first two sets, Westminster regrouped and found its rhythm in the third, using a balanced attack to keep Edgewood off balance. The Blue Jays carried that momentum into a tight fourth set, edging the Eagles 25-23 to force a decisive fifth frame. In the final set, Westminster maintained its composure, closing out the match with strong hitting and crucial defensive plays. The Blue Jays will look to carry this momentum into their next challenge at the Lakeland Tri-Match on February 21, where they will face two opponents at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
