The Westminster women's track and field team competed in the second day of the two day WUSTL Invite hosted by Washington University-St. Louis. The Westminster Blue Jays had five runners compete, and they tied for 25th with one point.
Freshman Taylor Howard earned the lone point for the Blue Jays with her 10th place finish out of 33 and 1:01.63 race time in the 400-meter dash. Senior Danielle Smulczenski also raced, placing 19th with a time of 1:02.74.
Freshman Maria Rains competed in the 100-meter dash, placing 22nd with a time of 14.34. Senior Nyima Njie ran the 200-meter dash and finished in 28.63 seconds, placing 36th.
Freshman Madison Zack rounded out the Blue Jay competitors in the 1,500-meter run. She crossed the line in 5:20.88, placing 32nd.
The Blue Jay squad will be back in action on Friday, April 3, at the CMU Invitational hosted by Central Methodist.
