The Westminster women's track and field team closed out the 2015 indoor season with a 12th place finish at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge hosted by Missouri University on Friday, February 20.
Senior Tanisha Terrell broke the 200-meter dash record by just under .4 seconds, ending the season with a record breaking 27.47 14th place finish.
Senior Nyima Njie finished the 60-meter dash with a 14th place finish and a time of 8.21, just .01 seconds short of tying the record. Terrell placed 17th with a 8.40 finish.
Freshman Maria Rains and Njie placed one right after the other in the 400-meter dash. Rains placed 14th with a time of 1:04.25, and Njie immediately after with a time of 1:04.76.
Junior Brier Skogsberg rounded out the Westminster Blue Jay squad with a 4th place finish in the 5000-meter run with a time of 20:08.40. She earned the five points the Blue Jays had to place 12th.
The Blue Jays will take a break until the outdoor season begins on Saturday, March 21 at the Wildcat Open hosted by Culver-Stockton.
