Fulton, MO 10/15/2022- The Blue Jays hosted the 5th ranked team in region eight, the Webster University Gorloks. Westminster would hold senior day festivities pre-game and honored their four seniors, Parker Jett (Lake of the Ozarks, MO / Fort Osage), Rhys Proffitt (Rolla, MO/ Rolla), Collin Murray (St. Peters, Mo. / Fort Zumwalt West) and Samuel Brown (Greenbriar, Arkansas / Greenbrier).

The Gorloks would score the opening goal within the first five minutes of the game to take an early 1-0 lead. Jett would make two great saves but could not keep the ball out of the net as the Webster attack peppered him with three straight shots within five yards of the goal and they would take a 2-0 lead.

Webster would score the third goal with a minute until halftime and would win 3-0. They improve to 10-1-3 on the season and are undefeated in the SLIAC at 8-0-2. The Blue Jays fall to 3-9-2 on the season and 3-5-2 in the conference.

Jett played fifty minutes and made three saves. Connor Benefield (Wentzville, MO / Timberland) would play almost forty minutes and he would make two saves on the two shots he faced.

The Blue Jays got five shots on the goal and seven total in the game. The Gorloks had eighteen shots total and eight shots on goal.

They will be back in action on Wednesday, October 19th when they take on the Greenville University Panthers. That game will begin at 7:00 PM.
