Hahn, Bartley and Tepen Earn SLIAC All-Conference Honors

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced the 2015 Softball All-Conference awards in between game one and two of the SLIAC Tournament on Thursday, April 30, and Westminster had three players on the list. Westminster's sophomore pitcher Alyson Hahn, freshman first baseman Abby Bartley and freshman outfielder Amber Tepen all earned First Team All-Conference honors at the awards ceremony.

Hahn, a sophomore from O'Fallon, Mo., finished the season with an 11-9 record with five shutouts and two saves. She ranked 28th in the NCAA for saves and broke the Westminster career saves record (5). She led the conference in shutout wins and ranked 34th in the NCAA. With her five shutout wins, she broke the Westminster season shutout record and the career shutout record (7). Hahn held a 2.31 ERA and struck out 121 batters throughout the season.

Bartley, a freshman from Fulton, Mo., led the team with a .389 batting average. She completed the season with 28 hits including four doubles and nine RBIs. At first, Bartley held a .975 fielding percentage with 102 putouts and 13 assists.

Tepen, a freshman from St. Charles, Mo., ranked second on the team with a .385 batting average after starting in every game. She led the team with 44 hits and 10 doubles. She finished the season with a 1.000 fielding percentage with 36 putouts and seven assists.

The SLIAC also recognizes one individual from each team, selected by his coach and teammates, who throughout the season best displays the ideals of sportsmanship. Westminster's freshman Kat Cooper was placed on the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. 

The Blue Jays went 13-20 on the season and landed in fifth place in the SLIAC with a 10-8 conference record.
