The Westminster women's soccer team was shut out by Central College (Iowa) on Wednesday evening, 1-0. The loss brings the Blue Jays to 2-3-1 on the season.

Central scored the game's only goal in the 17th minute with a low shot into the right corner of the goal.

The Blue Jays took seven shots on goal throughout the 90 minutes of play, but were unable get past Central's goalkeeper. Senior Tayisah Pohtos had three shots on goal.

Junior goalkeeper Ellen Woolsey (2-3-1) was credited with the loss in goal. She finished the 90 minutes with eight saves and just one goal allowed. 

The Blue Jays travel to Coe College on Sunday, September 20, for their final non-conference match. First touch is at 1:00 p.m., and the game will be live streamed here.
