Fulton, Mo. - The Westminster College Blue Jay women's soccer team will be in action Tuesday evening in their home opener. Head Coach Wendy Sanchez and her team will be taking on the Iowa Wesleyan University Tigers in a 5:00 p.m. kick off. This will be Blue Jays second game of SLIAC play and their first game in the friendly confines of Blue Jay Field.

- The Blue Jays were picked fourth in the SLIAC Pre-season Coaches Poll.
- The Blue Jays are coming off a season opening 2-0 loss on the road at Fontbonne University this past Saturday.
- Blue Jay Freshman Keeper Megan Davidson made her collegiate debut on Saturday facing seven shots and recording five saves.
- Kelsey Gordon led the Blue Jays with four shots and two shots on goal on Saturday.
- The Blue Jays return eight players from last years team: Seniors Alaina Allsbury and Natalie Schulte return. Junior Becca Bond and sophomores Abbey Montana, Kelsey Gordon, Abby Klos, Liz Hammond and Maddy Lawton also return.
- Coach Sanchez and her staff were able to bring in ten new players to the team: One transfer Karina Esquivel and nine Freshmen Davidson, Annalise Beck, Jenna Frisella, Lauren Halamicek, Chance Estrada, Madi Lenk, Anna Rios, Elsen Witte and Rachel Nolte.
Taking a look at the Iowa Wesleyan University Tigers (2-1,1-1 SLIAC):
- Iowa Wesleyan was picked to finish 7th in the SLIAC Pre-season Coaches Poll.
- The Tigers are coming off of a 5-1 victory at Eureka College on Saturday.
- The Tigers are led in scoring by Izela Avalos and Jacqueline Campos with three goals each. Jaqueline Ivers, Giovana Pedrassani and Ivet Rodriguez have scored two goals each.
- The Tigers Pedrassani has recorded four assists.
- Kylie Mulhern-Guillier leads the Tigers in goal. She has eight saves and one goal given up in 160 minutes in goal.
