Louisville, KY 10/31/2023- The Westminster College women's soccer team traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to take on the Spalding University Golden Eagles in the SLIAC tournament quarterfinals. The Golden Eagles would win the game 2-1 and advance to the semifinals. The Blue Jays ended their season with a record of 7-8-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the SLIAC.  

Spalding would score in the 19th minute to take an early 1-0 lead and would carry that lead into halftime. The Golden Eagles would score again in the 62nd minute after a penalty kick to take a 2-0 lead in the game. The Blue Jays would try to come back, scoring in the 69th minute to make it 2-1.  

Westminster would put four shots on goal in the second half after only taking one shot in the first half. The Blue Jays were unable to find the back of the net for that equalizing goal. Spalding would hold on to win the game 2-1 and advance to the SLIAC tournament semi-final.
