Blue Jays Roll To Fifth Straight Victory

St. Louis, Mo 9/29/2023- The Westminster College volleyball team traveled to St. Louis, Missouri on Friday to take on the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy. The Blue Jays would win the match 3-1 (25-20,25-14,21-25,25-15) to win their fifth straight game and improve to 7-7 on the season. The Eutectics fall to 1-20 on the year. 

Malena Bixby hit the ball well; she would have fourteen kills in the match and hit .343%. Madisyn Ellis and Kylie Hasselbacher both had nine kills and middle hitter Meghan Nolte would have eight kills on the night. The Blue Jays continued to have a balanced attack. Setters Braylee Montgomery had twenty-four assists and Caitlyn Wheadon had fifteen assists. 

Senior Gracie Henrikson led the team in digs with nine. Kirsten Schrader and Braylee Montgomery would both have eight digs. Madisyn Ellis and Meghan Nolte would have two block assists each. 

The Blue Jays will be back in action on Saturday as they partake in the Greenville Tri-Match. They will play Greenville at 10:00 AM and Principia at noon as they look to remain undefeated in the SLIAC.
