Tyler Branneky Named SLIAC/Diamond Sports Hitter of the Week

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced the Players of the Week for April 13, and Westminster's junior Tyler Brannekywas named the SLIAC/Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week.

Branneky, a junior infielder from St. Louis, Mo., helped the Blue Jays sweep Fontbonne in a three game series over the weekend. Branneky powered an offense that plated 29 runs in the series, finishing with a 1.333 slugging percentage. Branneky hit .667 with eight hits including two home runs and two doubles while driving in eight. He was 4-for-4 in the series finale, with three RBI and three runs scored. On the week, he finished with a .692 on base percentage and six runs scored.

The Blue Jays went 3-0 on the week, sweeping Fontbonne. 

The baseball team will see the field again on Wednesday, April 15, with a home conference doubleheader versus Blackburn College at 4:00 p.m.
