The Westminster pitching staff finished the 2015 baseball season with two number one national rankings in the NCAA Division III National Statistical Rankings. The Westminster Blue Jays finished first in the nation in strikeouts-to-walks ratio with 4.22 strikeouts to walks and first in the nation in walks allowed per nine innings with just 1.93 allowed. 

The Blue Jay pitching staff of 10 walked just 63 batters while striking out 266 during the 294.0 innings pitched in the 2015 season, landing them in first place in the nation with a 4.22 strikeout-to-walk ratio and 1.93 walks allowed per nine innings. The next highest team was Randolph-Macon with a 3.36 strikeout-to-walk ratio. The Blue Jays also averaged 1.93 walks per nine innings, beating out Rowan for first place by .14 walks per game. 

The 2015 Westminster pitching staff includes senior Jake Rule, juniors Will Miller, Deion Hughes, and Collin Brinker, sophomores Seth Lehmen, Jake Lund, Miller Bowles, Tanner Branneky, and Jake Plassmeyer, and freshman Chris Asher.  

 As a team, the Blue Jays threw 8.14 strikes per game. Hughes led the team with a 7.89 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He threw 71 strikeouts while walking just nine in 69.1 innings on the mound. Brinker averaged 10.54 strikeouts per game throughout his 35 innings on the mound. He threw 41 strikeouts while walking nine, while Rule walked just four batters in 47.1 innings pitched. 

The Blue Jay pitching staff also broke multiple records throughout the season. With their 266 strikeouts thrown, they broke the team strikeout record by one. Collectively, the pitching staff had a 3.34 ERA, breaking a 20-year old team record set in 1995 with a 3.42 ERA. They also tied for the most shutouts with four on the season.
