Division III Week

The Blue Jays begin the week long celebration on Tuesday with the Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, inductions. Thirty new members are being inducted at the 2016 ceremony. On Wednesday, there will be an all student-athlete picture at the columns at noon. On Thursday, SAAC and BAM (Blue Jay Athlete Mentors) are hosting powder puff to help build relationships between athletes and non-athletes in a fun and competitive atmosphere. The athletic department is asking student-athletes to help promote Division III by using #whyd3 and #myd3 on their social media accounts.

Baseball

The Blue Jay baseball team went 4-2 on the week with a whopping 90 runs scored! The team went 2-2 in Arizona with their two wins coming from Middlebury. They returned home from their trip and turned right around to play conference opponent Greenville College on Saturday. During game one of their two game sweep, junior Connor Hager hit for the cycle (meaning he had a single, a double, a triple and a home run all in one game) and senior Tyler Branneky broke two career records! He also tied the home run career record, so with his next home run he will hold his fifth career record!

Softball

Record wise, the Blue Jay softball team had a rough week. They went 0-5 on their spring break trip and lost another two in their conference-opener over the weekend.
