Thompson Breaks Single-Season Three-Pointer Record

FULTON, Mo. - Sophomore guard Ethan Thompson (Columbia, Mo.) broke the Westminster College record for three-point field goals in a season in yesterday's loss to the MacMurray Highlanders. Thompson finishes the season with 88 three-pointers, one ahead of the previous mark set by Brad Marcks in the 1988-89 season. His 88 three-pointer are tied for the second-most in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 16th most in NCAA Division III. He finishes the season with a 42.3 (88-208) three-point percentage.

On Dec. 14th Thompson tied the school record for most threes in a game with 10 in a 96-84 road win over Eureka. He shares the single-game record with Tim Theroff who went 10-10 in a game against Rhodes on Nov. 22, 1988 and Herbie Dill who went 10-14 against Parks on Dec. 6, 1994.
