Westminster Women's Soccer Blanked by Rose-Hulman

Terre Haute, Ind.– The Westminster women's soccer team was defeated by Rose-Hulman on Saturday by a score of 2-0. The Blue Jays fall to 0-7-1 with the loss.

The Blue Jays held the Engineers scoreless until the 31st minute of the first half when Rose-Hulman found the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead. Westminster goalie Sarah Cradick made six saves in the first half and was able to keep her team in the game despite the Blue Jays not recording a shot in the half.

Westminster registered their first shot of the game in the 52nd minute when Liz Hammond delivered a shot wide of the net. In the 59th minute Natalie Schulte added a shot that was saved by the Rose-Hulman keeper.

The Engineers outshot the Blue Jays 6-2 in the second half and scored their second goal in the 72nd minute. 

Cradick made four saves in the second half and finished with 10 saves.

The Blue Jays will open SLIAC play at Greenville on Saturday Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
