Elsah, IL 10/11/2022- The Westminster College took on the Principia College Panthers on the road Tuesday night. The Blue Jays would run away with it and win the game 3-0. They improve to 7-3-2 on the season and 6-1-2 in the SLIAC.
Freshman forward Hannah Shylanski (O'Fallon, MO / Fort Zumwalt North) scored two goals in the game. Her first one came in the first half in the 28th minute. She would score again in the 53rd minute to give the Blue Jays a 3-0 lead. Shylanski has now scored seven goals this season.
Madi Lenk (Troy, MO / Troy Buchanan High School) would also score after an assist from Payton Montana (Barnhart, MO / Seckman) and Savannah Feltrop (Jefferson City, MO / Helias).
The Blue Jay defense would hold the Panthers shot less. The Jays would take twenty-three shots in the game with eleven of them being shots on goal.
Megan Davidson (St. Louis, MO / Affton High School) got the start in goal and picked up her fifth win of the season.
The Blue Jays will be back in action on Saturday, October 15th when they take on Webster University at home. It will be Senior Day and kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM
