Fulton, MO 10/15/2022- The Westminster women's soccer team hosted the Webster University Gorloks on Saturday afternoon. They held senior Day festivities pre-game to honor and recognize the three Blue Jay seniors Abbey Montana (Barnhart, MO/ Seckman), Kelsey Gordon (St. Louis, MO / Lindbergh), and Maddy Lawton (Wentzville, MO / Timberland).

Once the game got started the Gorloks wasted little time scoring two goals in the first ten minutes of play. They would win to a final score of 2-0. The Blue Jays fall to 7-4-2 on the season and 6-2-2 in the SLIAC. The Gorloks improve to 9-6-1 and 6-3-1 in the SLIAC.

Megan Davidson (St. Louis, MO / Affton High School) got the start in goal for the Blue Jays and would make thirteen saves on the fifteen shots she faced.

The Blue Jays' offense would get five shots on goal, Lauren Halamicek (St. Louis, MO / Oakville High School) had a great look at goal but her shot got blocked by a Gorlok defender at the last second to keep the ball out of the goal at the 9:44 mark. The Jays would get four of their shots on goal in the first half.

Westminster will look to regroup and get back on track when they take on the Greenville University Panthers on Wednesday, October 19th. That game will kick off at 5:00 PM.
