Myers Named SLIAC Hitter of the Week

Fulton, Mo. - Mackenzie Myers and the Blue Jays softball team went on the road this past weekend and took three out of four games from a very good Rhodes College team.  The wins helped the team get back to .500 at 4-4. Her incredible weekend at the plate was a big reason why. Today the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognized Myers as their Hitter of the Week for her efforts in those games.

Myers, a senior outfielder, led the Blue Jays to three wins on the week; hitting .800 in four games. She picked up multiple hits in all four games including a three-hit outing in game one against Rhodes. Myers added a home run and two runs in that game as well. She finished the week with four RBI and a 1.200 slugging percentage, going 12-for-15 with four runs scored.

The Westminster College Blue Jays softball team will be back in action on Wednesday when they welcome the Washington University Bears to Fulton for the home opener for the Blue Jays. The games are set for 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. first pitches.
