The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced the SLIAC Awards and All-Conference recipients after the Championship game of the SLIAC Tournament on Saturday, November 7. Westminster's sophomore Hannah Marshall was named the 2015 SLIAC Player of the Year and four Blue Jays were named to the All-Conference Teams.
Marshall and junior setter Kayla Reeg earned First Team All-Conference Honors. Senior Lexi Collier was a Second Team All-Conference recipient and junior Amanda Kiso grabbed a spot on the Third Team All-Conference.
Marshall, a sophomore from Wildwood, Mo., earned the Player of the Year honor and a spot on the All-Conference First Team. She broke the Westminster season records in kills with 401 kills. She also broke the season aces record and sits eighth in the nation with 77 aces. She leads the conference in aces per set with 0.65 and ranks second in the SLIAC with 3.37 kills per set. She joined the 100 Ace Club earlier this season and currently sits with 116 aces on her career. She leads the team in points scored with 491 and has also recorded 222 digs.
Reeg, a junior from St. Louis, Mo., earned a spot on the SLIAC All-Conference First Team. She broke the season assist record with 1,166 assists and leads the conference in assists per set with 9.8. She ranks 24th in the nation for assists and holds the career assist record with 3,268.
Collier, a senior from Weston, Mo., was placed in the SLIAC All-Conference Second Team after leading the Blue Jay attack with a .375 hitting percentage. Her hitting percentage ranks second in the SLIAC. She broke the career kills and blocks record and joined the 1,000 Kill Club earlier this season. She averaged .83 blocks per set, tallying 69 blocks on the season.
Kiso, a junior from Jefferson City, Mo., was placed on the SLIAC All-Conference Third Team. She leads the team in blocks with 77 assisted blocks and 20 solo blocks. She ranks second on the team in kills with 252 and holds a .351 hitting percentage.
Senior Caroline Will was the member from the Blue Jay team named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. One individual from each school is selected by the coach and players to be on the team.
