Volleyball Sweeps Iowa Wesleyan, Extends Winning Streak to 11

The Westminster volleyball team extends their winning record to 11 games with Saturday's 3-0 sweep of Iowa Wesleyan University. The Westminster Blue Jays are now 17-5 on the season and 13-2 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC). 

The Blue Jays won with the scores: 25-14, 25-12, 25-16. 

Westminster hit .315 as a team. The team recorded no errors in the first set to record a .520 team hitting percentage. They hit .308 in the second set and .195 in the third. 

Four Blue Jays hit over .300. Senior Lexi Collier led the match with 11 kills. She hit .562 on the match with just two errors on 16 attempts. Junior Amanda Kiso hit .467 with eight kills, and freshman Micha Frasher hit .385. Junior Kayla Reeg finished with three kills and no errors to record a 1.00 hitting percentage.

Reeg also posted 29 assists and 10 digs. Freshman Bridget Ringwald led the game with 11 digs. 

The Blue Jays are back home on Tuesday, October 20, as they host the #1 team in Division III, Washington University-St. Louis, at 7:00 pm in the Historic Gym. The match will have video and live stats here.
