Westminster's Hausman Named SLIAC Defensive Player of the Week

Westminster's Blake Hausman was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on October 5.

Hausman, a sophomore back from Columbia, Mo., was a key part of the Westminster defense that kept Iowa Wesleyan from taking a shot in Saturday's 13-0 shutout.  He also notched a goal in the win, which extends the Blue Jays winning streak to eight games.

The Blue Jay defense holds a .99 goals against average, allowing just nine goals to get past them this season. This ranks them first in the SLIAC in both categories.

The men's soccer team is set to host MacMurray College on Tuesday, October 6, at 5:00 p.m. at Columbia College.
