Westminster's Sheehan Named SLIAC Player of the Week

Westminster's Tripp Sheehan was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on September 21.

Sheehan, a junior from Columbia, Mo., was key in helping his team go 3-0 on the week, assisting on five of his team's seven goals on the week. Sheehan set up two goals in his team's 3-2 win over Central (Iowa). He followed by assisting on the game winning goal in a 1-0 win over SimpsonSheehan concluded his week with two more assists, including the game-winner, in a 3-2 win over Augustana (Ill.). Sheehan now leads the SLIAC in assists as Westminster extended their active winning streak to six games.

The men's soccer team closes out their home streak on Saturday, September 26, with their first conference game versus Fontbonne University at 5:00 p.m. at Fulton High School.
