Fulton,Mo 4/30/2023-The Westminster Blue Jays Softball team faced Webster University Gorloks in their final home game. On this day we celebrated the senior of this year's class and all of their accomplishments. The Blue Jays would go on and lose the game 12-1.

The Blue Jays gave Madison Scott (Oklahome City, Ok/ SFS Pathaways Middle College) her first start of the year. Scott pitched 2.2 innings, giving up 11 hits. In relief for Scott. Payton Dudenhoeffer (Jefferson City, Mo/ Helias Catholic) came in to finish the game. Dudenhoeffer went 2.1 innings, only giving up 1 hit and striking out 2 batters.
Offensively for the Blue Jays, Emily Esquivel (San Diego, Ca/ Eastlake), Eva Gannon (Wentzville, Mo/ Holt) and Maddie Marrero (Columbia, Mo/ Rock Bridge) got base hits today. Esquivel went 1-3 with a stolen base. Gannon finished the game 1-3 and Marrero finished the game 1-2.
The Blue Jays' next game will be Thursday, May 5th against Blackburn College, with the first game starting at 3.
