1/9/24 Fulton, MO – The Westminster women's basketball team earned a commanding 73-60 home victory over Greenville University. The Blue Jays improved to 7-5 (4-1) with an impressive all-around performance, highlighted by a dominant third quarter that set the tone for the win.
The Blue Jays started strong, edging Greenville 16-14 in a tightly contested first quarter. A solid defensive effort and efficient ball movement extended their lead to 35-25 at halftime. Westminster came out firing in the third quarter, outscoring Greenville 24-18. Fuelled by Annette Ramirez's offensive firepower and Aly Bullock's work on the board, the Blue Jays created separation heading into the final quarter.
Ramirez led the charge with a game-high 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting, adding 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals in 34 minutes of action. Bullock recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, along with 5 assists and 5 blocks. Lauren Jones chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists, showcasing her versatility on both ends of the court. Olivia Hixson provided a steady hand, contributing 8 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds while directing the Blue Jays' offense.
