1/18/25 Fulton, MO - The Westminster Blue Jays delivered a dominant performance in front of their home crowd on Saturday, defeating the Spalding Golden Eagles 71-56. With balanced contributions across the roster, the Blue Jays improved their record to 10-5 overall and 7-1 in conference play.
Westminster set the tone early, outscoring Spalding 23-10 in the first quarter with a combination of aggressive defense and efficient offense. Although Spalding narrowed the deficit slightly in the second quarter, Westminster's steady play in the third and fourth quarters ensured the game was never in doubt.
Annette Ramirez had a career game, scoring 28 points on 9-of-20 shooting, including 4-of-11 from beyond the arc and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. She also contributed five rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Avylina Powell-Qualo added 11 points and showcased her defensive prowess with four steals.
